Through proper analysis, and working with large multinational companies the 7 Golden Rules were identified to counter the most recurring causes of our incidents. These rules set the minimum standards of behavior and performance.

They help drive the right SHEQ culture within our own organization.

  • We will report and investigate incidents so that the causes can be identified and corrected, and learning shared.

  • We will operate our vehicles safely and responsibly at all times and use the safety equipment provided.

  • We will use the Permit to Work system where necessary to ensure hazards and risks are understood and controlled.

  • We will only work at height when the required safety measures to prevent falls are in place.

  • We will ensure lifting operations utilising cranes or other lifting devices are carried out safely.

  • We will select and manage our contractors so that they meet our safety requirements.

  • We will only proceed with building construction and technical work and process equipment when an Engineering Management of Change process addressing the SHEQ risks has been completed.
